Ronald Earl Schoonover passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was 73 years old.
He was born in Springfield, Illinois on August 15th, 1951 to Donald and Ida Joyce Schoonover. He grew up in Easton, IL, where he graduated from Easton High School in 1969. He met his wife, Debra in 1967, and they were married on August 28, 1976 in Easton. They had three children and eight grandchildren. Ron was employed at Hull Brothers Trucking for 39 years before retiring in 2019.
Ron will always be remembered as an ornery soul who always had a warm smile and a smart quip for everyone. He loved motorcycles, and when he wasn't riding, he could be found tinkering with his bike. He was a hard worker who was always there for those who needed him and a devoted father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed.
