Adah Josephine Johnson, 81, of Chandlerville, Illinois passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 3rd, 2025. Adah was born in Cass County on September 28th, 1943 to Howard Richard and Thelma Kirchner Richard. Adah was one of fourteen children. She grew up learning how to take care of a large family and that is where she developed her skills and love for cooking and nurturing others.
Adah married the love of her life, Bud Johnson, on June 29th, 1968 in Havana, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 2016. Adah is also preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Thelma, and 11 of her siblings, Billy, Henry, Helen, Ernest, Jackie, Faye, Howard, Albert, Essie, Rita, and Russell. Adah was blessed with two beautiful children, Heather Johnson and Seth (Kirstin) Johnson; they survive. Adah is also survived by her grandchildren, Brooke (Joe) Connor and Scarlet Johnson, her great grandchildren, Jaycee, Hoytt, and Charlie, two brothers, Roland (Thelma) Richard and Danny (Joyce) Richard
