Shirley Ann Clary, 87, of Petersburg, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
Shirley was born on November 17, 1937, to Thurman and Anna (nee Nolting) Treseler in Petersburg. She was a graduate of Harris High School. She married Walter "Clark" Clary on October 18, 1958. She worked for Ideal Industries in Petersburg and later for the State of Illinois Deferred Compensation Department where she retired from. She was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Free Church, a former member of the Town and Country Women's Club and a member of the Shambolee Ladies Association. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Shirley is survived by her two children, Susan (husband Jeff) Broughton and Greg (wife Cathy) Clary; four grandchildren, Eric (wife Stephanie) Broughton, Kari Broughton, Hayden Clary and Mikaela Clary; two great grandchildren, Charlotte Broughton and Madison Broughton; and two sib
