Lois M. Bastien, 77, of Havana, passed away at her home at 6:37 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024. She was born on May 23, 1947 in Pekin, Illinois to James and Lelia (Williams) Garman. She married Stephen Bastien on October 22, 1967 and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2015.
Lois is survived by her children, Mathieu (Lynn) Bastien of Mapleton and Jason (Georgine) Bastien of Havana; and grandchildren, Brant, Austin, Natalie, and Ava. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Lois graduated from Easton High School in 1965 and Midstate College of Commerce in 1966. Before getting married, she worked for Illinois Blueprint in Peoria. She then worked for AgRain, which later became Kifco, for 32 years. She and her husband started The Cellular Connection in 1989, which they later renamed Bastien Wireless. Lois was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Havana, where she was very active. She was President of the United Methodist Women for 3 years, formed a group called Me
