Vida J. Harrison, 96, of Mason City passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home. She was born on September 8, 1927 in Mason County to Irvin and Laura (Schoonover) Sidebottom. On June 2, 1946 in Latham she married Myron Harrison who preceded her in death in 2015.
Vida is survived by 6 children: John Harrison of Bartonville, David Harrison of Texas, Larry Harrison of Delavan, Janet (Larry) Fancher of Mason City, Jane Harrington of Mapleton and Michael Harrison of Mason City, 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Myron, 5 siblings: Kenneth Sidebottom, Omar Sidebottom, Mary Turner, Iris Brownrigg and Eldred Sidebottom, and a grandson Colby Potter.
Vida was a graduate of Easton High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mason City. She had a passion for gardening, using her produce to make jams and jellies and canning vegetables. When she wasn't gardening, she
