Lester L. Lemon, 89, of Mason City passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 8:18 PM at Timbercreek Nursing Home in Pekin. He was born on June 20, 1934 in Kentucky to Charlie and Lois (Myer) Lemon. In 1989 he married Betty, she preceded him in death.
Lester is survived by his son Lester Lemon of Alabama, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law Rose Leamon of Pekin. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, a son and a brother and sister.
Lester was in the United States Army. For the last 20 years he was a dealer at the Paradise riverboat in Peoria. He volunteered as a patient ambassador for DaVita Dialysis after losing a kidney to cancer.
